Dryer Vent Cleaning — $149

Every load of laundry sends lint into the vent line behind your dryer — and lint is one of the most flammable things in your house. It builds up out of sight, year after year, narrowing the duct until hot air has nowhere to go. Clogged dryer vents cause an estimated 2,900 home fires a year in the U.S. (FEMA), and “failure to clean” is the leading cause, at 34% of them.

The warning signs are easy to miss because they look like a tired dryer, not a hazard: loads taking two cycles to dry, the laundry room feeling humid, the dryer hot to the touch. A restricted vent also makes every load cost more — the dryer runs longer and works harder for the same result.

The Service — What we actually do

We disconnect the dryer, inspect the full vent run, and clean it end to end — from the connection behind the machine to the exterior vent cap — using a rotary brush and vacuum so the lint comes out instead of just moving deeper. We check that the exterior flap opens freely, verify airflow before and after, and show you photos of what came out. Most homes take under an hour.

$149 flat-rate labor. Homes with a booster fan in a long vent run are $199 (cleaning with inline blower). If lint has built up inside the dryer cabinet itself — where fires actually start — ask about the Dryer Deep Clean ($99–149).
